Renting
Questions for a viewing: rent, bills, bond, and the connection fee. Dialogues for listening, not a lease.
At a viewing the other person may stack rent, bills, and the bond in one breath. Ask them apart: how often rent is paid, which bills are included, and who holds the bond. The Melbourne viewing episode is built for that.
Before move-in, electricity and gas need a connection. Read the connection fee on the page before you agree. The name on the account should match your identification and the lease. Prices are whatever the supplier says that day.
In Australian renting, bond usually means the deposit. Whether any of it comes back depends on the condition report you both signed and the rules in force then. The episode teaches the wording. It does not promise a refund.
Listen to the bond episode next to the entry inspection. Photograph marks before you sign, and write them on the report.
